Good for busy weeknights

I tried the Vegetarian Meal Kit last week, the pasta dish. It was actually pretty good. Everything was pre-chopped which saved a lot of time after work. The sauces were really flavorful too. Delivery was on time, so no complaints there. I might order again when I'm feeling lazy.

Loved the Kid-Friendly Dinners!

Oh my gosh, I just got my first order from Meez Meals and I'm so happy! I got the Kid-Friendly Dinners and my kids actually ate everything, which is a miracle! The instructions were super easy to follow and dinner was on the table in literally 30 minutes. It tasted amazing, way better than I expected. I'm telling all my friends about this and I'm definitely ordering again next week!

Solid experience, good quality

I ordered a few items, including a Family Style Dinner and some Protein Add-ons. The ordering process on the website was straightforward; I could easily pick my delivery day. Everything arrived well-packaged in an insulated box. The ingredients for the Family Style Dinner, a chicken and veggie dish, were fresh and accurately portioned. The pre-chopped aspect really did cut down on prep time. One of the Protein Add-ons, salmon, was vacuum-sealed and looked good. I had a quick question about cooking times for the salmon, and their customer support responded to my email within a couple of hours, which was helpful. Overall, the quality of the food was high, and the convenience was worth it. It took 3 days to reach my address outside Chicago.

Consistently reliable meal kits

I've been ordering from Meez Meals on and off for about a year now, usually for their Weekly Dinner Meal Kits. This last order, a Low Carb Meal Kit, was just as good as previous ones. They're always consistent with the ingredient quality and the portion sizes. It's why I keep coming back instead of trying other services. The delivery window is always accurate, which is a big plus for my schedule. I appreciate that they don't force a subscription, so I can order when I need to.

is meez meals actually good for kids? my picky eaters are a challenge, even with meal kits.

R Rachel 2 months ago

they have some pretty kid-friendly options, like simpler pasta dishes or things with chicken. my kids liked a few of them, but honestly, it depends on how picky yours are. the recipes are usually pretty flavorful, not bland kid food.

i've found some of their recipes are great for my 8-year-old, especially the ones where she can help 'assemble'. they do list if it's kid-friendly on the menu, which helps.

are the containers they use recyclable? trying to be more eco-friendly.

D David 2 months ago

most of them are, yeah. the plastic tubs for sauces and chopped veggies are usually recyclable. the ice packs you have to deal with separately sometimes though, or drain them.

R Rachel 2 months ago

i think they mention it on their site or in the box, but yeah, a good chunk of it goes into the recycling bin. way better than some other services i tried before.

can i use a coupon code if i'm not a new customer? like if i reactivated my account?

T Todd Y. 2 months ago

sometimes! i got an email with a special offer to come back after i hadn't ordered for a while. it was a $15 credit or something. worth checking your old emails or just waiting a bit.

D David D. 2 months ago

i don't think you can use the 'new customer' codes, but they do send out reactivate offers sometimes. and referral credits from friends work for anyone.

hey, trying to figure out if meez meals delivers to my area. i'm in naperville, illinois. any suburban chicago folks get deliveries?

A Alex 1 month ago

yeah, they definitely do suburbs. i'm in evanston and get my boxes every week. i'd just double-check your specific zip code on their site though, just in case.

i think it depends on the exact town. my friend in bolingbrook gets it but another friend further out doesn't. worth checking the delivery map on their site, it's pretty clear.

do they usually have a first-time customer discount? wanna try it out but waiting for a good deal.

S Sam Vargas 1 month ago

oh yeah, almost always. i got 50% off my first box a few months ago. pretty standard for these types of services.

they usually do a big discount for your first order, like half off. also keep an eye out around holidays, sometimes they have extra deals then.

how does the whole 'no subscription' thing work? do i just order whenever i want to?

S Sarah Beaumont 2 months ago

yep, exactly! it's awesome. you just go on the site, pick your meals for the week, and order. no commitment at all. you can skip weeks, months, whatever. super flexible.

3

C Chris D. 2 months ago

it's literally just like ordering takeout, but you cook it. no recurring charges, no 'skip by friday' deadlines. total freedom.

i got a promo code from a friend for $20 off. where do you even put that in when you're ordering?

K Kate Marsh 2 months ago

it's usually right at checkout, after you've picked your meals and are about to pay. there's a box for 'promo code' or 'discount code'.

0

E Emma Z. 2 months ago

yeah, on the final payment screen before you confirm the order. just type it in and hit apply, it should show the discount then.

thinking of trying meez meals. are their ingredients actually fresh? like, if i order for monday, will it still be good by thursday?

F Faith D. 2 months ago

i've found them to be super fresh. like, way better than some other kits where the veggies are already looking sad. i usually cook mine within a few days and haven't had issues.

4

C Chris Silva 2 months ago

yeah, everything is pre-chopped but still pretty good for 3-4 days. the sauces are in separate containers so those keep even longer.
